Founded by Garry Cain, a seasoned film professional with a career in set design and now the camera department (Local 667), Gimme A Break began as a passion project born from Garry’s vision to break the monotony of typical on-set fare.

Cain, whose film credits include The Incredible Hulk, Max Payne, and Jack Reacher, initially brought in his mother’s catering company to treat the crew to something different. The response was overwhelming; the team loved the fresh flavors, and “Gimme A Break” was an instant hit. Now exclusively offering private specialty catering, the company has carved a niche in providing not only delicious meals but also custom prop food for select film scenes.
